Work on Tron 3 is really beginning to pick up pace, with the script edging ever nearer to completing its first draft. It now seems that we could be set to see the return of Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde and Cillian Murphy, as Joseph Kosinski has confirmed that most of the main cast will be returning for Tron 3.
Kosinski is quoted by The Indepenent as saying, "Absolutely, yeah. All the cast will be returning, or nearly all of them. We've also got some new characters as well that I'm excited about. I'm not allowed to name them yet as it's too early."
He added, "We're working on the script right now. It's a story that we've all been developing for about four years now and we're finally at the script stage, and getting very close to getting our first draft. The film kind of delivers on the premise of Legacy but opens it up in really exciting ways so it's something that I'm really excited about."
Olivia Wilde has previously admitted that she would love to return for Tron 3, while it has been suggested that Tron 3 will see Cillian Murphy playing a bigger role, as the antagonist of the piece. Tron 3 is scheduled to be released in 2014.
