Many people were split on Tron: Legacy, with some claiming that it did not have the same special feel to it that Tron did, while others thought that it was spectacular. Either way, Tron: Legacy went on to make almost $400m worldwide, making a Tron 3 movie almost a guarantee.

Now, Olivia Wilde, who played Quorra in Tron: Legacy has been talking about the potential Tron 3 film and what she feels they could do with the movie. Olivia says that she is definitely up for returning for Tron 3 and claims that they could have a lot of fun with the film.
Wilde was chatting to Hit Fix, when she told them, "Yeah, I mean … They have to deal with Quorra. I loved the collaborative effort that was ‘TRON,’ and I think that now with the time to really focus on character development, after we’ve established so much exposition, we could really have some fun. I think everyone’s game for it – there’s so many directions we could go."

It has previously been claimed that Tron 3 will be set in real-time, three or four years after the events of Tron: Legacy, with the movie seeing Cillian Murphy’s character Edward Dillinger Jr. as the main antagonist of the film. Tron 3 is currently undergoing rewrites, so we are unlikely to see it anytime soon.
