Former X Factor contestant Olly Murs is currently the co-presenter of the after show The Xtra Factor and he has been talking about the shock exit of Ella Henderson. Olly claims that everybody was so upset by the events that unfolded on Sunday, that it actually felt like somebody had died.

Murs told Lorraine Kelly, “Our show felt like somebody died. It was so sad to see Ella go. [We thought,] 'We need to pick it up again a little bit'. It felt so bad. They're all really nice this year, it has to come down to the phone vote. I was predicting Ella to reach the final. I don't why people aren't [voting]. They're all great characters.”
Olly Murs failed to win when he was on The X Factor but he has still had a very successful career, with both a music career and a television presenting career. He added, “I put it down to luck. [It helps] if people like you as a person. I've got an amazing fanbase.”
