Let’s be honest, it is going to happen at some point. They are the biggest boyband on the planet right now and possibly the biggest boyband ever. They are selling out around the world, topping the charts around the world and breaking records around the world, leading many to compare them to The Beatles.
It is not as if there is not material there to make a movie, after all, Hollywood love a good rags to riches story and, while none of them were exactly brought up in poverty, they have all come out of nowhere and become global superstars. They all also have their own back stories with the odd love story involved.
Harry Styles is the bands ladies man and has been linked to a string of women but it is clear to all that the love of his life is Caroline Flack and they are being kept apart by their age gap and how the fans cannot cope with the relationship.
Liam Payne is another whose love story could pan out on the big screen. Liam met his girlfriend Danielle Peazer on The X Factor but the two have had to break up due to Liam’s hectic work schedule. There is also the fact that Liam was rejected by Simon Cowell two years before he made it on to the live shows of The X Factor with One Direction.
Next we have Zayn Malik and the story that he could now be sitting at home reading about what could have been. Zayn walked off stage during the dance section of boot camp only to be encouraged back by Simon Cowell. Zayn is another with a love story, after falling for fellow contestant Rebecca Ferguson before splitting up and now dating Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards amid rumours that he has cheated on her.
The Irishman of the group Niall Horan left his home country in search of success, fame and fortune and has been very successful. Niall has also been romantically linked to The X Factor USA judge Demi Lovato but the two insist they are just good friends with Demi saying that Niall is a great listener. He is clearly the sensitive one of the group.
Finally, Louis Tomlinson. Louis has been with his girlfriend Eleanor Calder for ages, despite there being an obvious bromance with Harry, which has led to many people claiming that Louis is gay. So the One Direction movie could focus on how Louis and Eleanor deal with the gay rumours.
The other thing is that the boys are all young and good looking enough to get the coaching to play themselves in One Direction: The Movie. The Beatles were known for making a number of movies and it could be the next step on the One Direction success train.
