One Direction are currently enjoying huge success on a global scale but the boys have been told not to take their fame for granted, as it can all be gone too soon. Those words of advice come from somebody who should know, as Mel C was part of the biggest girl band ever, Spice Girls.

Mel C told Heat Magazine, “They seem to be breaking America, which we were lucky enough to do. My advice would be just enjoy it, because so often with success like that, it's over so quickly. Really enjoy every minute of it. Try and take it all in, because it's crazy. With pop bands, [fame] is often so short-lived that you have to take every opportunity that you can, and it is hard.”
Mel also told the One Direction boys that they need to rest as much as possible, “I would say that you have to rest as much as you can. I think it's harder for boys as well, but there's lots of evidence that they like a bit of a party. There's no time for hangovers, really. It can be difficult, but I have no sympathy. Just enjoy it,” she added.

One Direction are likely to take these words of advice on board but the young men some to have their feet firmly on the ground and have not got carried away with their superstar status. While 2012 was a fantastic year for One Direction, 2013 could be even bigger.
