In all fairness to Jake Bugg, he is clearly a talented individual, who writes his own songs, plays an instrument and sings live, but does that really give him the right to slag off One Direction? Jake has hit out at the boyband, calling them terrible and forcing them to respond to his criticisms.

Jake Bugg is clearly not a One Direction fan
Bugg was chatting to Shortlist Magazine, when he explained, "Who the f**k is saying [they're the closest thing to rock stars we have these days]? Oh, I'm pretty sure they have a good laugh. But it's easy to, isn't it? When you don't have to write any songs."
He added, "People [call them the new Beatles] because they broke America, but that don't mean a thing. I mean, [One Direction] must know that they're terrible. They must know ... calling them the new rock stars is a ridiculous statement. And people should stop making it."

Niall Horan hit back along with Louis Tomlinson
Meanwhile, the One Direction boys have hit back at Jake Bugg, with Niall Horan saying, "Really bugs me that artists we're fans of flip on us in the press ! (sic)", while Louis Tomlinson added, "Hi @JakeBugg, do you think slagging off boy bands makes you more indie ? (sic)"
Once again it looks like One Direction win the war of words, with clever retorts by both boys, without the need to unnecessarily criticise. Well done boys.
