One Direction launched their tour at the O2 arena with a kick-off performance that rivaled that of the biggest bands of their heyday. It was an absolutely massive London show with fans flocking from all over the world to the venue in South London. All the boys were reportedly very nervous before the show, and Harry Styles tweeted the day beforehand, ‘Tomorrow. Boom baby.’

For all ages - An older 1D fan unable to contain their excitement
While Harry was able to calm his nerves, both Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan dealt with theirs in a different manner. Louis, who at 21 is the eldest of the group, simply tweeted, ‘Nervous’ before the show, but Niall ended up tweeting one message after another, saying, 'LONDON ARE YOU READYYYYYYYYYY? im literally so excited.. this show is for you ,the best fans in the world.. love you so much you sexy humans.’ He continued, 'Aggghhhhh! Lets do this! Cant believe its 1st show day! Cant wait.’ Then finally, he posted a picture of the arena and said, 'It's happening ! We're here #TMHtour is kicking off.'
It will be a busy year for the boys as they continue on the tour which covers the UK, Europe, the US, and part of Asia. They will be in the UK until the 19th of April, where they will then head to the rest of Europe and the US. They will be travelling well into the year, only wrapping up as their tour ends in Japan in November.

One Direction has also announced who will be joining them for the tour, and it’s a relatively unknown band called ‘5 Seconds of Summer’. While there were rumors that 1D would be going for a much bigger name, this makes more sense for them. The boys from 5 Seconds are reportedly friends with 1D and they already have some experience covering 1D songs.
