One Direction singer Zayn Malik has stated that, while he is happy to go along with it, he is certainly not a bad boy. Zayn claims that people get the wrong impression of him because he is so shy and reserved, leading to them thinking he is a bad boy.
Malik told Now magazine, “It’s cool. I’ll take it. I think my reserved personality is sometimes taken the wrong way and that’s why people just perceive me as a bad boy whereas I’m actually just a little bit shy and awkward.”
That is a far cry from what the young One Direction singer had previously said, when he was happy to boast about being a bad boy, “I like to use the term misunderstood. But I am a bit of a bad boy. I have tattoos and I mess around. That’s part of my image, so it’s cool,” he told Seventeen.
Zayn recently removed himself from Twitter amid claims that he was cheating on his girlfriend, Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards. However, Malik insists that the cheat rumours were not behind his decision but it was more to do with his family.
He explained, “No, that’s not what it was about. I won’t let someone’s opinion of me affect me. But when I see other people around me, like my mum and my girlfriend, getting upset then it annoys me. That’s why I deleted my Twitter account.”
Fortunately for One Direction fans, it appears that Zayn Malik has changed his mind regarding Twitter and has reactivated his account.
