British boyband One Direction have had a meteoric rise to stardom, since they were first put together for the reality singing competition The X Factor. The One Direction boys, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan, have had a huge 2012 and are expecting their success and fame to continue growing.
Now, it has been claimed that One Direction could potentially be in line to eventually be billionaires and a lot sooner than you might think. According to a Syco insider, One Direction managed to rake £26.3m in 2012 and it is expected that that figure will dramatically rise in the next few years.
The insider told Daily Star, “We fully expect them to make £100million next year. These boys are like a runaway train – nothing will stop them. Their earnings will go through the roof and if they earn £100million next year, then the year after it will be £150million so why not £200million the year after that? They will reach billionaire status in the next few years, no problem.”
With that said, we find it difficult to believe that it is even possible for One Direction to continue to keep the huge success that they are currently enjoying, steady for the next few years. Surely their fame and superstardom will eventually wane and billionaire status will be well out of reach.
