Singer P!nk has criticised the explosion of techno music which is taking over the airwaves, claiming that she would never be taken in by the trend. P!nk even went as far as to say that the music was so annoying that it was actually doing her head in.
P!nk explained to Billboard, "There's this whole techno takeover going on right now that just does my head in. I knew I didn't want to do that. I'd rather dance around and sing goofy songs." She then went on to discuss how she had the time to develop her act so that she was pleased with the end product.

P!nk added, "I was always on the road in the UK and Australia, and things were really great over there. Then I got to come home and be left alone. It gave me lot of time to create my show and to become a performer. I would go on 22-month tours and work my ass off, and it's been the biggest blessing of my life that now I am a touring artist.”
She continued, "It got me out of the popularity contest that music can be sometimes and gave me time to hone my craft as a stage performer. I'm also grateful... I got to come back and do the Grammys [in 2010]. That was my 'A-ha'." P!nk’s new album The Truth About Love, which features Eminem and Lily Allen, is set to be released in the UK on September 17 and then in the US on September 18.
