There are plenty of stars in Hollywood at the moment who would love to land a role as a comic book character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and, while there are many who will never get the chance, there is one lucky actor who will appear as a second Marvel character in the upcoming movie Avengers: Age of Ultron.
British actor Paul Bettany has voiced the Marvel character JARVIS for many years now, appearing in four Marvel movies to date. Paul will reprise the role of JARVIS in Avengers: Age of Ultron but, as well as voicing the character, who will also finally be seen on screen in the role of Vision. Now, Paul has briefly spoken about the powers that his character possesses.
Bettany told Jimmy Kimmel Live!, "Oh, [he] can do all sorts of things. But I'm not allowed to really talk about them and what we're going to do because there might be a Marvel agent in the room who will actually wrestle me to the ground and fire me. It's very exciting for me, but everything's a double-edged sword because I was playing JARVIS for years. My job was I would turn up at a recording studio for 45 minutes, do all my stuff, they would give me a huge bag of cash, and then I would go home. Now, it turns out they've found me out and they want me to actually, ya know, do something. It's not right."
As well as seeing Paul Bettany taking on the role of Vision, Avengers: Age of Ultron will also see Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver and James Spader as Ultron. Meanwhile the movie will also see the return of Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Cobie Smulders, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson. Avengers: Age of Ultron is once again directed by Joss Whedon and will open on May 1, 2015.
