It has been quite a few years now since Marvel announced that they were bringing us an Ant-Man movie and, while we have been very excited about the film, there have been a lot of problems along the way. One of the biggest problems was the news that director Edgar Wright had left the project, after not agreeing with the plans for the new script.
However, it seems that the new Ant-Man script has actually been received very well by the cast of the movie. Hollywood actor Paul Rudd will play the lead role in the Ant-Man movie and he has admitted that he is very excited by the new script for the film and cannot wait to start shooting the movie.
Rudd was speaking with Collider, when he explained, "We're a few weeks away [from filming] and while we're still kind of polishing some things, I feel really good and excited about where we're at. It's a totally unique and interesting world that we're exploring."
As well as starring Paul Rudd in the role of Scott Lang aka Ant-Man, the upcoming Marvel movie will also star Hollywood veteran Michael Douglas as Hank Pym. Paul went on to say that he has met with Michael on a number of occasions and is still a little in awe of the actor.
Rudd added, "I've had dinner with him a couple of times and I've talked to him on the phone. He's the most approachable, easygoing, cool dude. And he is in that handful of people on the planet that I go, 'Oh my god, I cannot believe that I'm talking to Michael Douglas'. It's unbelievable."
Ant-Man will open on July 17, 2015 in both the US and the UK.
