It has been reported that Manchester United’s 37 year old midfielder Paul Scholes is set to delay his retirement further, by signing a new one year extension at Old Trafford. However, Paul has insisted that he will not come out of international retirement for Euro 2012.

Paul Scholes initially retired at the end of last season but decided to come out of retirement half way through this season and has been inspirational in Manchester United’s title challenge. Paul now looks set to win his eleventh Premier League title, as Manchester United sit eight points clear at the top of the league.
Managers and pundits alike have been full of praise for Paul Scholes since he came out of retirement and he has been rolling back the years with some first class performances. Paul has been so impressive that there have been calls for Scholes to return to the England set up.

Unfortunately, Paul Scholes has admitted that he will not come out of international retirement for England’s Euro 2012 bid, as he does not want to jeopardise his prolonged Manchester United career.
Do you think Paul Scholes is right to continue or should he retire?
