It has been reported that Paul Scholes could be tempted to sign a one year contract extension at Manchester United. The 37 year old centre midfielder came out of retirement to help the Old Trafford club during in an injury crisis and has since performed far better than anybody could have imagined.
This has led to Sir Alex Ferguson and Manchester United drawing up a new one year deal for Paul Scholes, in the hope that he will keep playing for another season. Sir Alex Ferguson has been highly impressed with how Paul Scholes instantly has returned to form and revealed that the Englishman has a pass completion rate of 82% and has even rivalled some of the more active players with the amount of kilometres per game he has racked up.
These statistics show that Paul Scholes has clearly not lost anything from his game and is still at the top level. Paul Scholes has been put under no pressure from Sir Alex Ferguson or Manchester United to give a hurried decision and has stated that he will sit down and discuss his options with his family, before making a decision by the end of the season.
