Former Brazilian football legend Pelé has wished all the luck in the world to new Barcelona signing Neymar. After only one week since trying to convince Neymar to stay in Brazil and develop further as a player in Santos, Pelé's move surprised many. However, the legendary striker is hopeful Neymar's playing time in Europe can only benefit the Brazilian national team ahead of the World Cup which they will host in 2014.
Pelé used his official twitter account to wish him good luck. His tweet read: "I am confident that @FCBarcelona will provide great challenges and experiences which @Njr92 [Neymar] will bring with him to Brazil in the World Cup."
In a different tweet he also posted a picture of himself with the young promising striker by saying: "I wish @Njr92 [Neymar] all the best at @FCBarcelona."
It was a long debate whether or not Neymar's move would be good for his career and his development as a player. However, it looks like even Pelé is now convinced that the player has made the right move and that he and the national team can only benefit from it.
The young striker has often been compared to the legend Pelé, but it remains to be seen how he will adapt to the European game and how he will fit in the system of playing alongside Lionel Messi.
