Hollywood actress Penelope Cruz has enjoyed a long and successful acting career since she first burst onto the scene way back in the 1990s. SInce then, Penelope has gone on to appear in a whole host of top movies putting in some impressive performances along the way, even managing to bag herself a the Best Actress in a Supporting Role Oscar, for her performance in the 2008 movie Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
While Penelope Cruz is still working hard at her acting career, she has now revealed that she wants to start to take her career in a new direction, following in the footsteps of many Hollywood actors and actresses before her. Penelope has admitted that she would love to eventually make the move into directing but will learn the ropes one step at a time.
Cruz explained to Variety.com, "I want to build what could be my future in cinema, not always being in front of the camera. I'd also like to direct a feature, maybe 10 years from now. For now, I'm directing commercial and video-clips - I love that. And it's the best way to learn. I want to go slowly, step by step. I'm following the whole production process very closely, from the film's inception."
Penelope Cruz was last seen on the big screen in the movie The Counselor, while she is currently producing the movie Ma Ma. Meanwhile, it has been rumoured that Penelope Cruz is in talks to land a role in the new James Bond movie, although that has yet been confirmed or denied.
