Hollywood actor Penn Badgley, who is best known for playing the role of Dan Humphrey in the hit television series Gossip Girl, also starred alongside an impressive cast for the 2011 movie Margin Call. Before shooting the movie, Penn had a meeting with his Margin Call co-stars, including the Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey, but things did not exactly go to plan.
Penn Badgley has now opened up about that first meeting with Kevin Spacey and co., revealing how he left them waiting for him due to reasons out of his control. Penn claims that he managed to get stuck in an elevator, which meant not getting to the meeting until an hour after everyone else. Fortunately though, Kevin Spacey saw the funny side of things.
Badgley told Wenn, "I got stuck in my girlfriend's elevator for an hour and I remember being like, 'Man...' It (being late) wasn't the best first impression to make, but he (didn't a give) a s**t because he's just this jovial, fun-loving guy. He's very disciplined about his craft, but he's equally joyous in his work... he's like this wise actor. He's able to charm an entire room in seconds."
Penn Badgley has gone on to have a successful acting career since then and has two more movie projects coming out in the coming year or so. Fans can see Penn starring with Dakota Johnson, Milla Jovovich and Ethan Hawke in the big screen adaptation of the Shakespeare play Cymbeline, while he also appears with Rosario Dawson, Alexis Bledel and Teresa Palmer in the film Parts Per Billion. Both movies are expected out later in the year.
