Peter Facinelli will be forever immortalised in the minds of Twilight fans as Dr. Carlisle Cullen and he has been talking about the hit vampire franchise coming to an end. Peter has admitted that he has mixed emotions about Twilight ending but stated that he was extremely proud to have been a part of it.
Facinelli told Yahoo! Movies, “I feel proud, tremendously proud that we were able to accomplish all these movies and get them done. It's been a wonderful ride and a great franchise to be part of, and the fans have been phenomenal. It's bittersweet. I'm happy that the last couple of years has been very time-consuming.”
He added, “I actually shot Nurse Jackie at the same time, so I was doing dual doctor shifts! It's nice to be able to have it completed and move on to other stuff, but I will miss the fans... I have never seen a fanbase so appreciative and supportive, and I'm grateful that they've stuck with us through the years.”
Almost every single member of the Twilight cast has discussed the end of the movie franchise, with many claiming it is a bitter sweet moment. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 is set to open worldwide on November 16.
