Peter Reid has been sacked as the manager of Plymouth Argyle by acting chairman Peter Ridsdale, to show that there really is no loyalty in football anymore. Plymouth have been in financial turmoil since before Reid took over 18 months ago and it appears that Ridsdale has decided to make him a scapegoat.
The players and the staff of Plymouth Argyle have been working without getting paid more or less, for the past seven months. Peter Reid showed his loyalty and dedication to the club by paying the heating bill out of his own money and even auctioned off his FA Cup runners up medal to help with the finances.
It will be impossible for Plymouth Argyle to find a man who has as much passion and desire as Peter Reid. Let alone finding someone who is willing to put their own hard earned cash into the club. The decision is an absolute disgrace and it beggars belief that Peter Ridsdale is allowed anywhere near a football club after he destroyed Leeds United. Good luck Peter Reid, you deserve better.
