Peterborough United’s Emile Sinclair aiming for more goals

Peterborough United striker Emile Sinclair has revealed that he is hoping to keep adding to his goal scoring tally in a bid to get into double figures as soon as possible. Emile, who has scored 7 goals in 21 games so far this term, admits that he feels he should already be in double figures for the season but this is his first season playing in the Championship and he is still learning at this level.

Sinclair explained, "I feel I should have a few more goals, maybe 12 or 13, but it's my first season playing in the Championship. I'm hoping to get into double figures as soon as possible, that's my current target. I'd like 15 or 20 goals. I've scored a couple of goals recently, we've been on a good run and I'm pleased to be improving every game. You've got to perform well in games and in training as we've got plenty of players who can play up front."

Emile also admitted that he welcomes the extra competition from the return of Nicky Ajose from his loan spell at Scunthorpe. He added, "I've played against Nicky in the past and he's a good player who can get in behind with his pace. He's got great technical ability and it's definitely a lift for the team to have him back.” Emile Sinclair will next be in action this Saturday, when Peterborough United take on Brighton & Hove Albion at London Road.
