Some tennis insiders are noting that people should not let Petra Cetkovska's recent loss to Shelby Rogers at the BNP Paribas Open allow them to start questioning her return to prominence on the professional Women's Tennis circuit, she is still on track to be one of the big surprises of 2014 Women's Tennis Association season. Many people forget that this attractive tennis player only last year was unable to play for the first four months of the season due to a recurring stress fracture. 2014 represents the first year in a little while that she is playing consistently on the circuit and her body is adjusting to life on the tennis circuit which can be grueling on the body.

Petra Cetkovska's play in her recent loss to Shelby Rogers, a 0-6, 6-4 loss showed a resilience, a mental toughness that impressed several tennis insiders. She competed admirably in the midst of a day when her shots were just not falling and sometimes as a tennis player that happens.

What is most important is that Petra Cetkovska is intent on playing as much as possible to get back her playing fitness which is something that takes time and no amount of off-court training can replicate. There is nothing that can match the feeling of playing in a game against a competitor in front of people at a tournament that includes the best players in the world. To get back into top playing form one must compete consistently and to Petra Cetkovska's credit that is precisely what she is doing.

Petra Cetkovska's win against Li Na, the number 2 ranked player in the world and the 2014 Australian Open singles champion was no fluke. She won a three set fight at the Qatar Total Open and forced Li Na to make her errors in the match and served notice that she is on her way back and will be a difficult player to compete against in 2014. Endorsement companies look at her attractive looks and the fact that she tri-lingual, able to speak Czech, French and English and are confident that she will break through in a Grand Slam tournament and surprise many and in the process make herself a great brand ambassador for a company.

Petra Cetkovska has already surprised one top 10 women's tennis player in 2014 and there are many who believe that there will be several other tennis players who she will surprise in 2014.
