With the 2014 Oscars getting ever closer, with just a few more days until we discover who this years big winners are, the anticipation is becoming huge, with plenty of talk about which star is going to take home wha Oscar. There are plenty of big names up for Oscars this year and it looks set to be one of the tightest Oscar races for some time.
One of the categories that is really difficult to choose, is that of the Best Actress in a Leading Role, which has a very tough and impressive group of women nominated. Among the Best Actress in a Leading Role nominees, is the veteran actress Judi Dench, who is still searching for that elusive second Oscar victory.
Judi Dench bagged her first Oscar back in 1999, when she took home the Best Actress in a Supporting Role award for her role in the hit movie Shakespeare in Love. Since then, Judi has been nominated for a further four Oscars, not including this years nomination, and she has failed to pick up another Oscar on all four attempts.
While Judi Dench would no doubt love to take home the Best Actress in a Leading Role Oscar to add to her Best Actress in a Supporting Role award, Judi does face very tough competition. The other actresses in line for the Oscar are Amy Adams (American Hustle), Meryl Streep (August: Osage County), Cate Blanchett (Blue Jasmine), and Sandra Bullock (Gravity).
The 86th Academy Awards will be here on March 2 and we will keep you up to date with everything going on as it happens.
