It has been reported that Captain Jack Sparrow actor, Johnny Depp is close to signing up to appear in the fifth instalment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Johnny had previously suggested that he would only return if the script and story were good, not just for the pay day.
A draft for the script of Pirates of the Caribbean 5 has apparently already been prepared and now it is just a case of getting the cast and crew together. Depp also recently admitted that the director could have an effect on his decision, so casting the right director will be key to him signing up.
Johnny Depp is currently busy filming his next film, the vampire based movie Dark Shadows and he also has quite a lot of work lined up in the coming years. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides has just passed the £1 billion mark in worldwide gross, becoming only the eighth movie in history to do so.
