20 year old, English singer songwriter, Pixie Lott has revealed how she loves to write her own songs, claiming that, her album would not feel like her own if she did not write her own songs. Pixie also admitted she does not pay attention to early album sales, as she believes it is more about longevity and how many sales are made in the long run.
Lott explained, “My first album ended up selling a million copies by the end, which is what we want with this album. It’s not always about first-week sales, it’s about longevity. I don’t want to stop making music.” Pixie Lott then spoke about her love of writing original songs, that are close to her heart.
She added, “I love writing. I’d hate to do an album and have none of the songs on there of my own. When your songs come from a real experience, you just can’t compare singing those against something someone else has written.” Pixie Lott released her second album, Young Foolish Happy last week and is looking forward to making many more albums in the future.
