Police Academy reboot is all go

It seems that the rumour that a reboot was set to be made of Police Academy is in fact true, as New Line are pushing ahead with it. People have been talking of and mostly mocking the idea of a Police Academy reboot but it seems that New Line are not to bothered that nobody really wants to see a Police Academy reboot and have now set the wheels in full motion.

A director has been put in place, as Scott Zabielski is the man who has been put in place to helm the project. Police Academy will be Scott’s first ever feature film, as he comes from television background with the Comedy Central show Tosh.O. Zabielski does have a good idea about Police Academy though, as he actually came through one himself and is a reserve police officer in West Hollywood.
The revelation of a Police Academy reboot actually being made has been criticised by many and Scott Zabielski is going to have to do a great job to win people over. It is highly likely that they will get a number of the original Police Academy cast involved, passing on their knowledge and skills to the new recruits. The reboot of Police Academy is currently expected to be released in 2013.
