Priyanka Chopra as part of the promotion for her film "Mary Kom" has been disclosing some of the many things she has learned from the training to become the celebrated boxer and one of the most important things she learned was the importance of keeping her 'head' or more specifically, her wits.
In boxing and life one certainty is that punches will come your way every day. In Bollywood, this is also a reality as the critics will savage an actor's work or praise it but an actor in Bollywood is under intense scrutiny as is the average person and the punches are not going to stop.
As a result, she found that boxing taught her about when she needed to guard herself, when she needy to take the opportunity to strike and when she needed to keep moving so that she could keep her opponent in the ring and in life on their toes as she plan her next step. "When punches come you have to plant your legs firmly and hit back. Be passionate and be determined in all that you do."
She is an admired, some would say adored actress in Bollywood who even when she is criticized always seem to 'slip the punches' and hits right back and some social media fans and entertainment observers are attributing her recent moves in the public eye to some of the lessons she learned from boxing.
For example, the actress was recently on Zee TV's "Cinestars Ki Khoj" discussing how she is able to maintain her gorgeous figure and she revealed to her fans in her typically blunt fashion that she refuses to starve herself and diet as she believes in eating and exercising equally. This was an opportunity for her to 'strike' a blow against the rigid 'diets' that some of her young female fans may engage in to lose weight and she took it.
Looks as if she truly did learn some things from her time training to be a boxer to portray the legendary Mary Kom and being the role model she is as an actress instead of keeping those lessons to herself she passed them 'forward' to her fans. This is one of the many reasons why Priyanka Chopra is so loved by her fans, male and female on social media and why many expect her "Mary Kom" movie to be a big success at the box office.
