Music Mogul, Sean "Diddy" Combs aka Puff Daddy, launched his brand new music content channel in a deal with Time Warner Cable. The mogul has heavily promoted Revolt TV through a number of social networks including vlogs on his Revolt TV YouTube channel. His aim is to curate content to the masses in a way that celebrates pure and unadulterated artistry.
"We're multicultural, we're multigenre! We are for everyone," says Puff Daddy in an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. He wants the independent artists to get their shine regardless of record sales, touring, or pop radio airplay. Revolt TV will function as a vehicle that brings engagement from social media and the mass appeal of television to complement one another in a more cohesive effort than any other music channel has done in the past.
On top of his new deal with Time Warner Cable, Puff Daddy released a new flavor of Ciroc in his 50/50 venture with Diageo called Ciroc Amaretto. Additionally, he's in a partnership with actor and producer, Mark Wahlberg, for a performance based smart water called AquaHydrate. Puff Daddy is definitely working his way to the top as a fully functional lifestyle mogul. It's no wonder why he looking to build the next big music channel.
Revolt TV is looking to fill the void that channels such as MTV and BET have since put on the waste side. The channel is just in the beginning stages but looks promising with it's mission of bringing rich content from all genres within mainstream and indie music. Puff Daddy is well on his way to bringing back the balance of music on your televisions.
