When most people think of Las Vegas they tend to just think about the casinos and gambling but there is so much more to the wonderful place than just that. Over the years Las Vegas has brought us many different charity galas and events that honour many different people in many different ways and this year has been no different.
The most recent event to take place was the Keep Memory Alive 18th annual "Power of Love Gala", which took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on April 26. The benefit was put on for the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health honoring Gloria Estefan and Emilio Estefan Jr. and featured some impressive performances from some big stars including Queen Latifah and Jordin Sparks.
As well as Jordin Sparks and Queen Latifah performing at the benefit, other performers on show included Carole King, Rita Moreno, Fantine, Jon Secada and Ricky Martin, while other celebrity guests at the event included Andy Garcia and Steve Schirripa, as well as famous Vegas entertainers Siegfred and Roy. Meanwhile, Quincy Jones was on hand to host the gala.
While the guests at the benefit sat back, relaxed and enjoyed the performances, they were also treated to a fantastic dinner that had been put on by superstar celebrity chefs Wolfgang Puck and Masaharu Morimoto. The celebrity chef packed dinner has been a regular feature at the annual gala and did not disappoint.
