Django Unchained director Quentin Tarantino has opened up about his feelings on the Ridley Scott movie Prometheus, claiming that there are a lot of dumb elements to it. Quentin did state that, despite these dumb elements, he did find the movie to be cool.
During his appearance on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Tarantino said, “On one hand I was a little disappointed by it. On the other hand it was actually kind of cool to see a big deal, serious science-fiction epic by a director like Ridley Scott. Overall the experience was pretty cool having been in it.”
He added, “But there was also a lot of dumb stuff in it. When it got to the point where they're on another planet and then a space cobra literally shows up, opens up its hood and the guy who's in charge of alien creatures goes, 'Hey, little fella! How ya doin'?' I was like, 'Uhhhhh... It's a space cobra!'”
Ridley Scott is currently said to be working on a sequel for the Prometheus movie. Meanwhile, Quentin Tarantino has seen his Django Unchained movie come in for some criticism from fellow director Spike Lee, who claims that the film is disrespectful to his ancestors.
