You could be forgiven for thinking that Hollywood actress Rachel McAdams has a thing for starring in time travel movies, as she has already appeared in two in the past and will now star in a third. Rachel has been in The Time Traveller's Wife and Midnight in Paris in the past, and is next up in About Time. Now, the actress has opened up about the time travel elements of the movies.
McAdams told Collider, "I actually didn’t really think about it because I just read the script and loved it. I loved the sentiment behind it. And because I’ve actually never played a time traveler, for all the time traveling I’ve done, I took myself out of the equation again. I’ll have to make amends on the next time traveling film I do."
She added, "But, I just fell in love with the story and where these characters wound up. I was swept away on Richard’s journey. It really wasn’t until I was doing press when people said, 'You know, this is your third time travel film.' I wasn’t counting Midnight in Paris. I hadn’t thought about that."
About Time boasts an all-star cast, which includes the likes of Bill Nighy, Domhnall Gleeson, Margot Robbie and Lindsay Duncan, as well as Rachel McAdams. The film is written and directed by Richard Curtis and will open in the US on November 1.
