It is fair to say that aging actor Sylvester Stallone impressed the majority of movie goers around the world, with his muscular physique and his ability to still pull off a Rambo movie back in 2008. We all thought then, that it would be the last time we get to see Sly as Rambo and once ideas for Rambo 5 had been rejected, we were certain that Rambo 5 was a no go.
However, writer Sean Hood, who has been linked to the screenplay to Rambo 5 for quite some time, has hinted that Rambo 5 could be the next project on the cards for Sylvester Stallone. He explained, “Rambo 5 on hold as Sly finished Expendables 2. He hasn’t decided if R5 will be an "Unforgiven" or a "passing of the torch."
So there is still quite a big possibility that Rambo 5 could still be getting made. It would certainly have to be the last time that we see Sylvester Stallone in the role as John Rambo but a passing of the torch suggests that there could be further instalments but with a different hero. We will all just have to wait until Sylvester Stallone has finished with The Expendables 2 before we find out.
