Those of you old enough to remember, will be able to think back to the simpler times, when movies were not 3D and you could not play your computer games online. Games back in the day were, graphically poor but still so much fun and Midway Arcade games had possibly some of the best games around, including none other than Rampage.
Rampage was a very simply game. You choose which monster you wish to play as, out of the three possible monsters and then you simply have to destroy every building on the screen before you advance to the next level. In the meantime, the military try to gun you down, while you get extra bonus points for eating the people waving for help from their windows.
Now it seems that New Line Cinema are set to bring Rampage to the big screen, as steps are being taken to convert Rampage the game in to Rampage the movie. It will be interesting to see how they develop this game but we imagine it will be based more on the military, saving the day, rather than the monster you got to control.
John Rickard (Horrible Bosses and Final Destination 5) is the man who is being placed in charge of making this happen, as he has been brought on board to produce Rampage the movie. John is expected to meet with potential screenplay writers in the coming weeks. Do not expect to see Rampage the movie any time before 2015, if it even makes it to the big screen.
