It seems that Manchester United have given up hope of keeping hold of their talented young midfielder Ravel Morrison, after it was confirmed that he would not be getting offered a new contract at Old Trafford. This has alerted a number of teams around Europe, with Newcastle United the first to act by offering £500,000 for the teenager.
That offer was deemed unacceptable and Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is set to return with an improved offer. Manchester United are hoping for a good future sell on clause, as they feel that Ravel Morrison does have a great deal of potential but they just feel that his off field antics are out of control and they feel that he could be a disruptive influence, so are ready to listen to offers.
Last year Ravel Morrison pleaded guilty to two counts of witness intimidation, as well as admitting criminal damage back in May. Morrison has also shown his bad attitude by sharing his annoyance at only being on the bench for a reserve team match. If Manchester United do not agree a deal and Ravel Morrison lets his contract run down, he could leave for as little as £300,000 but it seems that Newcastle United are extremely keen on the youngster.
