As is always the case with football, we hear a number of different transfer rumours all season long and, while some of these rumours do turn out to be true, there are plenty of them that are way off the mark. When it comes to the top players in the world, there are always rumours that they are going to move clubs and try to prove themselves elsewhere, and with one player that is true.
Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has confirmed that he will not renew his contract at French giants Paris Saint Germain this Summer, leaving him free to join any club in the world, with plenty of top clubs being linked to him. Zlatan has supposedly claimed that he would love to head to the English Premier League, with Manchester United his ideal destination, but who would PSG get in to replace him?
Well, Paris Saint Germain certainly have the resources and the money to get pretty much any player in the world and it has been suggested that their top target would be the Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. Obviously Cristiano is one of those players that any club in the world would want but he is not exactly getting any younger and now could be the right time for Real Madrid to cash in.
With that said, if it was to become confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo was available, we are sure that there would be a huge amount of clubs wanting to sign the player and we are not sure that the French league would be a big enough stage for such a star. We guess we are just going to have to wait until the Summer to find out.
