Right, I believe it has been quite a while since I last had a proper rant and I feel that one is seriously in order, regarding the state of television. As some of you may know, I am not exactly a fan of reality television, in fact I despise everything to do with it.

There was a stage a while back, where I thought reality TV was beginning to die down and we would finally be rid of the rubbish. When Channel 4 got rid of Big Brother, I was delighted and saw it as the beginning of the end for reality television and the nonsense that comes with it.
However, I couldn’t have been more wrong. Since then, Channel 5 have taken over Big Brother, BBC have brought us The Voice and that X Factor rubbish has gone stateside. Then we have those silly dancing shows, as well as that jungle garbage and it seems reality television is at an all time high.

To say reality TV annoys me is a huge understatement. What has happened to good television? Saturday nights used to be made up of great shows like Noel’s House Party, You Bet and Gladiators but now we have stuff like The Voice, Britain’s Got Talent and Dancing on Ice.
Thank the lord for Match of the Day to calm me down and raise my spirits after a depressing Saturday of television. Arriba!!
