While there has been a huge amount of fuss made about Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence of late, with the star putting in some impressive performances in her movies, including in her role as Mystique in the new X-Men films, she is actually not the first to take on the role. As most of you will be well aware, stunning Hollywood actress Rebecca Romijn played Mystique in the original X-Men movies.
During the course of filming the X-Men movies, Rebecca Romijn had to sit and get her body painted before her scenes, which could often take up to nine hours to complete. However, while the Rebecca Romijn body painting was a painful enough process, Rebecca has now revealed some of the other downsides of having your body painted.
Romijn explained, "You sort of have to go to a zen place. You have to get into some fairly awkward positions to help out the person who's painting you." She then added that she got, "Blue paint on everything, including every time I had to go use the loo, blue toilet seats. Everybody knew when I had to go use the bathroom because there was a blue toilet seat."
Rebecca Romijn is now very experienced at having her body painted, after having it done on a number of occasions. As well as spending hours getting her body painted for the X-Men movies, Rebecca was also the first model to have her body painted for her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue shoot.
Which actress do you think makes the better Mystique in the X-Men films, Rebecca Romijn or Jennifer Lawrence?
