When we look at the top stars in the entertainment industry, we just see these hugely talented icons and often forget that they are just human beings like the rest of us and have the same traits as everybody else. We all have different hobbies that we love and enjoy and the biggest stars in the world are no different, with a whole host of different hobbies in Hollywood.
One such hobby that a lot of stars seem to enjoy is that of the model railway, with a lot of celebrities loving to spend hours on end building these model railways. One of the biggest model railway fans in the entertainment industry was Diff'rent Strokes star Gary Coleman, who made no secret of his love for the model railways over the years.
A few years back Gary Coleman revealed his love of model railways, saying at the time, "Currently I'm doing Lionel trains. I'm doing them as prototypically as possible, even though they are toy trains. I still like to do it as realistically as possible."
Unfortunately Gary Coleman passed away back in 2010 and he has passed the model railway torch onto other celebrities and there is no shortage of famous model railway fans. Among some of the biggest stars to be involved in model railways includes the likes of Tim Allen, Johnny Cash, Phil Collins, Kevin Costner, Rod Stewart, Patrick Stewart, and Whoopi Goldberg, among many more.
Model railways are just one of the things that celebrities love to do in their spare time but there are also plenty of other celebrity hobbies.
