Renee Olstead may have made herself a household name as Madison Cooperstein on The Secret Life of the American Teenager, but acting isn't her only talent. The star is an incredible jazz singer, as well.
The singer released her latest single, Sleepwalk, on October 15 to rave reviews. Within hours of its release, the single had achieved 4 1/2 stars on iTunes, with several listeners comparing her voice to Patsy Cline. The soft, slow, ballad laments the loss of a lover, and Olstead's smooth vocals make a great match for the lyrics.
Olstead released a music video on YouTube to go with the single. Shot in black and white, the video features the singer in a sheer, white nightgown. Throughout the video, she alternately sits or lies on a luxurious bed, or stands looking longingly out a window.
Since the single's release, rumors have begun circulating indicating that Sleepwalk is part of an upcoming new album. Olstead has kept quiet about the rumors, and has perhaps even encouraged them by retweeting any post that mentions the possibility of another album on the way. A new album would be the fifth from the singer, and many fans are looking forward to hearing more.
