Welsh actor Rhys Ifans has revealed that he hopes to have children in the near future and he hopes that it will be with his current girlfriend Anna Friel. Rhys also admitted that he does not believe that he is too old to have children and be a father at the age of 44.
Ifans explained, “Men are never too old to have kids – they might be too old to be fathers, but I don’t think I’m too old to be a father yet. I’d love to have children. But Britain’s a small place, you know. And life’s about compromise, I’ve discovered, at long last.”
He added, “I’m not some medieval brigand going to put my wife and children in a Welsh cave.” Rhys Ifans is currently preparing to hit the big screen in his latest role as Edward de Vere in the Roland Emmerich movie Anonymous, which is released on October 28.
