Hollywood star Rick Moranis was a big star back in the 80s and early 90s but he has since swapped acting, to give us a taste of his musical creativity. Rick has just released his latest album, titled My Mother's Brisket and he has opened up about how the record cam about.
Moranis explained, "The writing of these songs came out of the fact that so much of my life had moved from being very involved with show business, which in the Jewish aspect is very secular, back into family and friends and community and much more of a practicing Jewish culture."
He added, "Many of my friends and family were more involved with the faith, with their temple, with the practice of rituals, so day-to-day it was back in the orbit I was in, which it hadn’t been for a long time. As I was thinking of things, these ideas for these songs were coming up, and I started writing them."
As for his acting career, fans have called for Rick Moranis to make a return to the big screen, when Ghostbusters 3 finally gets off the ground. Dan Aykroyd has confirmed that Ghostbusters 3 will happen, although some of the original cast might not be present. Lets hope that Rick Moranis agrees to reprise his impressive role as Louis.
