The recent Ridley Scott movie Prometheus was met with mixed reaction from fans and critics alike and it did not help that nobody really knew whether it was an Alien prequel or not (we are still not completely sure). However, Prometheus has made over $400m worldwide so a sequel is bound to happen and Ridley has been discussing potential storylines in the movie.
Scott told Metro, “Prometheus evolved into a whole other universe. You’ve got a person with a head in a bag that functions and has an IQ of 350. It can explain to her how to put the head back on the body and she’s gonna think about that long and hard because, once the head is back on his body, he’s dangerous.”
However, while that sounds all well and good that the sequel could go down that route, Ridley admits that it is far from being that simple, “I wish it was that easy. They’re going off to paradise but it could be the most savage, horrible place. Who are the Engineers?”
It is currently unclear when we will see a Prometheus 2 movie as Ridley Scott, like most people in Hollywood, is a very busy man. Ridley is currently working on his new movie The Counselor and there is also talk of him making a Blade Runner sequel. Now that we would love to see.
