As many of you may well know, We Found Love singer Rihanna is set to make her big screen debut in the upcoming movie Battleship, which is based on the famous game by Hasbro. Rihanna filmed her scenes for the movie last year and she has admitted that she had a lot of fun on set, especially since she got to fire a lot of powerful weapons.
Rihanna explained, “She’s this badass weapons officer; she knows everything about weapons, not only hers, but all the weapons on board. We wanted a bunch of tattoos just to dirty me up a little bit and, of course, no makeup. I got to shoot some really serious, powerful weapons, which is really, really fun. It really got me into the emotion of the character. She’s a fighter. She’s a killer. She’s not afraid of anything. She likes a challenge because she can handle it.”
It is the first big screen movie that Rihanna is set to appear in but the singer insists that she would like to do more movies in the future. Rihanna stars in Battleship alongside Liam Neeson, Alexander Skarsgard and Taylor Kitsch, as well as Brooklyn Decker, who previously discussed her time on set with Rihanna. Battleship is set to be released on April 20. 2012 in the UK and May 18, 2012 in the US.
