There have been so many failed attempts to make successful movies from successful video games franchises over the years, with pretty much all of them falling short and failing to please the fans of the games. Next up it is the turn of Warcraft, which is based on the hugely impressive World of Warcraft gaming series, with the movie spending a big budget on the project.

Australian actor Travis Fimmel, who has become best known for his role in the hit television series Vikings, plays the lead role in Warcraft and he has admitted that he did not actually know anything about the game. Fortunately though, his co-star Rob Kazinsky is a huge World of Warcraft fan and was only too happy to teach Travis everything he knows about the game.
Fimmel was speaking to Britain's Metro newspaper, when he explained, "I feel like everyone in the world knew about it except for me. More than 100 million people have played it. It’s like the biggest game ever. (Now my knowledge is) extreme level. Rob Kazinsky, the English actor who plays Orgrim, one of the orcs, was once number 10 in the world. He used to play 18 hours a day. He was my little encyclopaedia."

While there are a lot of people with high hopes for the Warcraft movie, there have been some early reviews which suggest that the movie is once again going to fail to win over the fans of the game. With that said, we will wait to see the film for ourselves before giving an opinion on the project. Warcraft is set to hit the big screen on June 10.
