Robbie Williams is perhaps one of the most famous successful singers to have been in a boy band, and he’s now speaking up and saying although he really loved some of his bandmates, he despised most of them.

Williams told Shortlist Magazine that he thinks that One Direction is probably going through the same thing, saying, “I’m sure that in One Direction right now, there’s going to be hatred between certain members for certain things, all young and daft stuff.”
However, One Direction itself disagrees with them. In a recent interview while in Australia [give fansshare link], Louis Tomlinson got angry when asked if One Direction has a manufactured friendship and said, ““It’s such a frustrating question….I just don’t understand how you can see the way we are together – on camera and off camera – and look at it as if it’s being contrived. It’s so evident that we do get on so well and I just don’t think we’re good enough actors to pull off that kind of friendship!”
The boys have always looked incredibly close, both when on tour and off it. In interviews and promotional appearances, they don’t give off an air of animosity and seem like best friends. They even have a close camaraderie during personal photos, and seem to know a lot about each other and their personal lives. It seems highly unlikely that Williams’ situation back then mirrors One Direction’s now, but we never know – it could be true.
