Proud New Yorker and Hollywood legend Robert De Niro has revealed the effect that the terrorist attacks had on him and his fellow New Yorkers. Robert also admitted that he can still feel the effects of that day, when the World Trade Center was brought to its knees.

Bobby explained, “I think those of us who lived and worked in downtown New York in 2001 felt the impact of the attacks on the World Trade Center most directly. You still can feel it today. Ground Zero is our neighbourhood, so we were surrounded by devastation in the wake of 9/11.”
Although De Niro did not lose a family member or a close friend in the 9/11 attacks he did admit that the events made him question his life. He added, I didn't lose a relative or close friend when the towers fell, but after the attacks, whatever I had done, whatever I was striving for, had no meaning; it all just stopped.” As did we all.
