Now call me a cynic but I have never truly believed in love. Papa Bandito insists that there will come a time that I will meet the right woman who will change my mind. Pah!! Anyway, enough about me. Just look at celebrity relationships, they hardly ever work out so why should I be any different.
Take Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart for example. They were the young lovers of Twilight fame who seemed to only have eyes for each other and whose love would last forever. However, once filming the Twilight movies had finished, they started spending more time apart and Kristen fell into the arms of Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, causing Robert to call time on their relationship. Yes, he has now taken her back but can he ever truly forgive and trust her?
Then there is the young One Direction cougar hunter Harry Styles. Harry had a very well publicised relationship with television presenter Caroline Flack. While it was obvious that these two had a lot of feelings for each other, their age difference became a problem for the public and they eventually decided to call it quits. They have since stayed good friends but neither Caroline Flack or Harry Styles has found somebody else who gives them that same feeling. Another waste of “love”.
Finally I want to direct you to Taylor Swift who sings so passionately about love but is a clear example of why it doesn’t exist. Taylor Swift has dated a string of stars including Taylor Lautner, Jake Gyllenhaal and John Mayer but none of them managed to work out. For someone who believes so strongly in love, you would think Taylor would be able to hold down a relationship. Taylor Swift is now dating Conor Kennedy and it is only a matter of time before they split up and Taylor writes a love song about it.
There it is. I put it to you that celebrity relationships simply do not work but not only that, love in general is simply a myth. Arriba!!
