Twilight star Robert Pattinson has revealed that he knows his parents understand the pressure he feels as a heartthrob movie star.
Robert admitted that when he phones home and tells his parents that he wants to end his own life, they know he's just being a bit dramatic.
Robert, 25, said that he gets very frustrated on long film shoots and that he needs someone to vent to: 'They think I'm insane,' says Robert.
'They are the only people I really let rip on - "I'm going to kill myself!" My family all think I hate my job so much, but it's just the boredom that gets to you.'
Robert, who stars as manipulative playboy Georges Duroy in Bel Ami - a role which he says has changed his life - admits that he enjoys the acting side of his career, but that he gets depressed when he's forced to stay indoors to avoid being followed by fans and paparazzi.
'I do everything to hide because, if someone finds out where I am, there are people outside 24 hours a day,' Robert tells The Sunday Times Culture.
'And that's what drives you crazy, because you can't escape. It makes you not want to go out - then you don't meet anyone and just get insanely bored.'
