Robert Pattinson has said that filming close ups of his face for the sex scene in 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1' was one of the most embarrassing experiences he's ever had to do. The penultimate movie, on general release from today, sees Robert play Edward Cullen finally get it on with Kristen Stewart's Bella Swan, which involved the camera crew, as well as the two stars, having to get close and intimate.
The 25-year-old heart throb told Metro: "We shot a bunch of sex scenes in a row just filming our faces having orgasms. That was probably the most embarrassing thing I've ever had to do in my entire life - just a close up of your face as if you'd know what to do." He then joked: "It's much easier for girls to do that. Maybe because they're just used to faking it."
Pattinson did, however, express disappointment that the scene wasn't as graphic as he had hoped, saying: "'It's funny when you're doing a sex scene and they're screaming 'No, don't actually look like you're having sex! That's terrifying! I just find it funny which things have to be censored. They're both losing their virginity and people are afraid of showing the actual moment which is the most emotional part of the scene. It's not just porn. There's actually a point to it and people are really scared of doing it. It's interesting to watch that. It's very cinematic."
Robert also told reporters at the UK premiere of 'Breaking Dawn' that he is keen to work with
on and off screen lover Kristen again in the future.
