Despite similar lifestyles and screaming fans wherever they go, One Direction and Robert Pattinson don’t have all that much in common. It also seems that Pattinson is not a fan of their music, choosing to pick Westlife over them if given the chance.

Despite saying he would join One Direction for the money, Rob now has an interview with MSN UK where he admits he’s not a fan of One Direction. When given the choice to join One Direction or Westlife, Rob answers, “Westlife, definitely. Westlife are one of my favorite bands. I actually don’t know any songs that One Direction have done. I’ve just seen pictures of them.”
It doesn’t actually seem as if he’s saying anything negative about One Direction, just that he hasn’t gotten a chance to listen to their music yet. It does seem odd that he hasn’t heard anything of theirs, especially considering that their songs are on the radio every few minutes and their album placed #1 in the Billboard charts. However, Rob’s musical tastes have proven to be somewhat eclectic and not necessarily ‘mainstream’ so it’s not all that shocking.
