When it was first claimed that Robert Redford was going to be appearing in the Marvel movie Captain America: The Winter Soldier, most people thought that it was just another piece of made up gossip. After all, Robert Redford does not do these types of movies anymore.

So, when it was officially confirmed that Robert had indeed been cast in the film, as a senior S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, fans around the World rejoiced. Captain America: The Winter Soldier is expected to be a fantastic movie anyway, so with the addition of Robert Redford, it is bound to be amazing.
Robert Redford has now addressed his decision to join the cast of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, telling the LA Times, "I'm doing this film because it's different. It's a new thing for me. I like the idea of stepping into new territory. I'm excited by it. I also think it's a good bunch of people who really know what they're doing."

We cannot wait to see Robert Redford starring in a Marvel movie and hope that his role is more than just a passing cameo appearance. Captain America: The Winter Soldier will again see Chris Evans in the title role, with the movie set to be released on April 4, 2014 in both the US and the UK.
